On 26th Oct 2018 53 Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs) were passed out by the UPDF Chief of Medical Services, Brig. AK Musinguzi at Allied Health and Nursing School (AHNS) in Gadafi barracks Jinja.

The NCOs have been undergoing a coy medical course for one year.

Brig. Musinguzi hailed medics who completed a similar course before for doing wonders wherever they are deployed, more so, in AMISOM and the recent Kalongero operation in South Sudan.

He further promised that the school will soon be integrated and taken over by the Ministry of Health.

He cautioned them against corruption tendencies. " Never request money from a patient and keep a positive attitude. " He warned the graduates.

The Commandant of the school, Maj.Clare Ajulut hailed the graduates for discipline displayed during the one year course and further commended their families for being extra patient and keeping the homes.

While on course, students underwent lessons about first aid, primary health care, social psychology and basic computer applications among others.

The function was graced by the newly posted RDC of Jinja, Eric Sakwa, and the Director nursing in UPDF, Lt Col Grace Baguma.

The ceremony ended with planting of trees as a gesture of preserving the environment.
